PAX Plus and PAX Mobile Fall Detection Installation

PAX Instal
  1. Charge and activate your PAX unit. Insert the Power Cord into the back of the Charging Cradle. Plug the other end into an electrical outlet. Place the PAX in the charger. PAX Plus will automatically turn on and begin its activation process.
  2. Test your PAX unit. When prompted, press and hold the Call Button. When you hear the operator, tell them you are testing your medical alert for the first time. Charge the device in the charger for 4 hours after your test.

Pairing a PAX Plus Replacement Pendant

Step 1: Add Home Pendants

1. Place PAX in its Charging Cradle. Make sure the Cradle is plugged into an electrical outlet.

2. Press and release the Program Button on the back of the Cradle. The Indicator should light amber.

3. Within 20 seconds of pressing the Program Button, press the button on your home pendant.

4. The Program Indicator light should turn green when the Pendant is successfully paired.

5. The Indicator should light green when the home pendant is recognized.

6. Repeat Steps 2-4 for additional home pendants.

Step 2: Test Home Pendants

1. Be sure PAX Plus is in the Cradle and the Cradle is powered on.

2. Press the button on your Home Pendant.

3. The Command Center will come on the line. Inform the operator that you are preforming a test on your medical alert device.

IMPORTANT:

Home Pendants can only place an emergency call if PAX Plus is resting in the Cradle and the Cradle Power Cord is plugged into AC power. Home pendants must be within 150 feet of the Cradle to place a call.

Kelsi Mobile Medical Alert Installation

Kelsi Install

  1. Charge your Kelsi unit. Plug the large end of the AC Wall Charger into an electrical outlet. Open the cover located on Kelsi’s side to find the Charging Port. Connect the Charger cable to the Charging Port. The Status Light will flash RED and BLUE. Charge Kelsi for 3 hours, or until the Status Light flashes BLUE. Remove the cable when Kelsi is fully charged. The Status Light will turn off once the cable is removed.  
  2. Test your Kelsi mobile medical alert. Press and hold the Call Button. When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert for the first time.

Kelsi Pro Mobile Medical Alert Installation

How to setup Kelsi Pro
  1. Charge your Kelsi Pro unit on the cradle before first use. Plug Kelsi Pro’s charging cradle into a wall outlet and place Kelsi Pro into the cradle. Remove Kelsi Pro when the small, red battery light on the device is solid.

  2. Test your Kelsi Pro mobile medical alert. Press and hold the call button until the call light on Kelsi Pro turns blue. When you hear the operator, tell them you are testing your medical alert for the first time.

Home Medical Alert Installation

Home Install
  1. Plug in power cord. Plug the Power Cord into a power outlet.
  2. Plug in telephone cord. Plug the loose end of the red Phone Cord into a phone jack.
  3. Plug in phone (Optional). To use the same phone jack for a telephone or answering machine, plug its cable into the jack on your Base Unit.
  4. Test your new medical system. Press your help button. You will hear a series of beeps. When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert for the first time.

Wireless Setup
  1. Plug in POM unit. Plug the Power Cord into a power outlet. Wait about 1 minute for the Base Unit to establish a connection.
  2. Test your new medical alert system. Press your Help Button. When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert for the first time.

Pairing Your Fall Detection Replacement Pendant

Use these instructions if you have a home medical alert and are trying to pair a fall detection replacement button. 

  1. Hold down the green RESET button on your base unit until you hear 4 beeps. Release the button. Then, hold down the green RESET button again until you hear 3 beeps. Release the button.
  2. Hold down the green RESET button on the base unit once more while simultaneously holding down the button on your new pendant. Release both buttons when you hear a beep from the base unit. Your new pendant is paired.
  3. To pair an additional pendant, hold down the red HELP button on the base unit while simultaneously holding down the button on your additional pendant. Release both buttons when you hear a double beep from the base unit. Simultaneously press the red HELP button and the green RESET button. Your additional pendant is paired.
  4. Press the button on your new pendant(s). When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert system.

Pairing Your Classic Home Landline Replacement Pendant

Use these instructions to pair your new pendant if your home base unit plugs into your landline.

  1. Hold down the green RESET button until you hear 2 beeps (approx. 6 seconds). Release the button. The green LED light should be flashing.
  2. Press and hold the Red Emergency Button on the base station while simultaneously holding down the button on your new pendant. Release both buttons when you hear a double beep.
  3. To pair additional pendants, repeat step 2 with the additional pendant. 
  4. To finish the pairing process, press and release the green RESET button one time. The green LED light should be holding steady.
  5. Press the button on your new pendant(s) to test them. When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert system.

Pairing Your Classic Home Wireless Replacement Pendant

Use these instructions to pair your new pendant if your home base unit is wireless and does not plug into your landline. 

  1. Hold down the green RESET button on your base unit until you hear 4 beeps. Release the button. Then, hold down the green RESET button again until you hear 3 beeps. Release the button.
  2. Hold down the green RESET button on the base unit once more while simultaneously holding down the button on your new pendant. Release both buttons when you hear a beep from the base unit. Your new pendant is paired.
  3. To pair an additional pendant, hold down the red HELP button on the base unit while simultaneously holding down the button on your additional pendant. Release both buttons when you hear a double beep from the base unit. Simultaneously press the red HELP button and the green RESET button. Your additional pendant is paired.
  4. Press the button on your new pendant(s). When you hear the operator, tell them that you are testing your medical alert system.
