From Small Family Business to National Medical Alert Company
Over 20 years ago AlertOne began as a small family-owned business with the goal of providing great medical alert service locally. We quickly became one of the
largest medical alert providers in our region. Some of those early customers are still being monitored today.
Building on this success we began to design and manufacture our own medical
alert products. Our goal of providing great service remained, but our local vision became national as we continued to grow. Within a few
years AlertOne was distributing its medical alert system to more than 300 resellers and was one of the largest wholesale medical
alarm distributors in the nation, with over 200,000 medical alert devices in service.
We believe this growth was a result of our commitment to providing great service. This commitment also prompted exciting innovations in our industry.
For almost thirty years the medical alarm industry was using non-voice alarms. What this means is that when you pressed the button, the monitoring
center would have to call your home phone. We didn't think this was the best design for our customers, so we developed a two-way voice medical
alarm that allowed you to talk directly to the monitoring operator without having to pick up the phone.

We built our medical alert system believing that two-way voice is better for the customer, allowing them to get help more quickly. This innovation created a dramatic change in our industry. In fact, some of the largest companies in the industry soon
followed us. Today only a couple companies offer a medical alarm without two-way voice.
Nearly every innovation at AlertOne began with our customers. We listened to our customers, their compliments, their concerns, and even
their criticisms. Thanks to our customers, this has resulted in AlertOne being a true leader in product development and customer service. We were the
first company to offer remote speakers so our customers could hear us in more parts of the home, we were the first company to develop a wall mount
button for those customers that might not always wear their button, we were the first company to use a temperature sensor to monitor unsafe
temperatures...and we're not done!
Today our products are still used by many medical alarm providers, and our products are used in retirement communities nationwide. Every week the list of hospitals, home health providers, doctors, and various health care professionals recommending
AlertOne medical alarms grows.
Recently we updated our look and shortened our name to Alert1 (it's a little easier for everyone). We still have the same affordable products,
America's most trusted service and the same fantastic people. We can honestly tell you that we are not the biggest, but thousands of satisfied
customers will tell you that we are the best!
